Fasting

From the series, "Gospel of Matthew." For many of us, when it comes to fasting, our belief system can be distorted by subtle misconceptions. That in some way we get to control God by how we treat our body. Or, simply confusing it with the practice of abstinence. But just like prayer and giving to the poor, fasting can unlock a greater intimacy with the heart of God and welcome a deeper connection with the Father.
